Pirate's Alley
🥄0
Stir Scotch, Cognac, Walnut Liqueur, BéNéDictine with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.
During Mardi Gras, I wanted to create a Sazerac variation to mark the occasion. Initially, I tried using walnut liqueur and Cynar with Scotch and Cognac, but it didn't meet my expectations. Drawing inspiration from Damon Boelte’s Storm King, I replaced the Cynar with Benedictine, which suited the New Orleans theme perfectly. The drink improved significantly, so I named it Pirate's Alley after a street that caught my eye during my first visit to New Orleans in 2009.
