Chris Odegard of Minneapolis created the Martinique Hundred in 2020, starting from a fondness for the rum-and-Campari Jungle Bird. Looking at variations led to the Bermuda Hundred, which is made with gin and Campari and named after a coastal region of Virginia. The Martinique Hundred swaps the Campari for Suze, and a rum-and-Suze version was tried but found less appealing.
