According to Kevin Liu, Mattias Hagglund of Comfort in Richmond, VA, made this drink at the request of Liu's wife, who wanted something fruity without too much alcohol. Liu later named it and included it in the chapter "Drinks to Convert the Cocktail Novice" of Liu's book.
