Reposado tequila stirred with Yellow Chartreuse and pear eau de vie, sharpened by Angostura. Herbal and honeyed from the Chartreuse, with soft pear fruit and a dry oak-tinged agave backbone.

Joaquín Simó developed this take on the Diamondback at Pouring Ribbons in 2013, on request for a stirred drink built around Clear Creek pear brandy. The pear still comes through despite the small measure, and Calle 23 Reposado was chosen for its floral notes, which suit the brandy, and for an earthiness that grounds the fruit.
