Peruvian Necktie

0

Shake Pisco, BéNéDictine, Apricot Brandy, Lime Juice with ice. Strain into a coupe.

For Loyal Nine's cocktail of the day, I drew inspiration from a submission grappling move called the Peruvian Necktie. Pisco seemed like the perfect base spirit, and I added Benedictine and apricot liqueur for their unique flavors. To balance the sweetness, I included lime juice and a hint of absinthe to lift the herbal elements. Angostura would have made it too intense, so that was out. Finally, an orange twist tied in a knot served as a clever garnish, nodding to the drink's namesake.
