- Place one large ice cube in a rocks glass.
- Add the cognac, Bénédictine and orange bitters, either straight into the glass or into a mixing glass filled with ice.
- Stir until chilled and slightly diluted.
- If you mixed it in a mixing glass, strain it over the large ice cube.
- Squeeze an orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then discard the peel.
- Finish with a dehydrated orange slice, whole or halved.
