Shake Bourbon, Lemon Juice, Allspice Dram, Simple Syrup with ice. Strain into a coupe.

At Drink, a patron requested another Whiskey Sour, prompting me to get creative. I began with the Lion's Tail but swapped out the lime for lemon. Inspired by Don's Spices #2, I added allspice dram and vanilla syrup, flavors that complement Bourbon beautifully. For the name, I stuck with "Lion's" and called it the Lion's Share when I made it at home. The vanilla enhances the whiskey’s aged character, while the allspice and bitters serve as subtle accents, especially with lemon replacing lime.
