While experimenting with Alchermes's bold cinnamon and clove flavors, I thought it would pair well with Riga Black Balsams. The song "Black Hole Sun" kept playing in my head throughout the process. Initially, Linie Aquavit was too strong and peppery for the mix, so I switched to Ahus Akvavit and added Comoz Vermouth to balance the sweetness and introduce a touch of white wine. Despite several existing cocktails named after the same song, I couldn't resist keeping this unique name and highlighting Latvia's influence in the drink’s identity.
