- Chill an old fashioned glass by filling it with ice and a dash of absinthe.
- Tilt and rotate the glass to coat its interior, then discard the liquid.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
- Strain into the prepared glass.
- Twist an orange peel over the drink to release oils, then rub it around the rim before dropping it in as a garnish.
