For years, I viewed Tiki drinks as a dumping ground for overly colorful and unpleasantly flavored syrups and liqueurs. However, after reading "Beachbum Berry Remixed," particularly the section on Mai Tais, I decided to create a simpler version of the drink. Similar to traditional Mai Tais, you can mix various white rums, but La Favorite adds an aromatic touch while FdC white provides a crisp finish.
