Shake Herbal Liqueur, Jeppson'S Malort Jeppson'S Malort, Pineapple Juice, Orange Juice, Lemon Juice with ice. Strain into a tiki mug.

Inspired by Smuggler's Cove’s Norwegian Paralysis, I decided to create a twist using Malört instead of okelehao or Fernet-Campari. To balance the herbal flavors, I replaced demerara syrup with cinnamon and named it the Swedish Paralysis. For a competition, I boosted the Malört content to 2 ounces from 1.5, added five drops of saline, and altered the garnish. This tweak earned me third place in the contest.

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients using a whip shake method
  2. Pour into a Tiki mug
  3. Top up with crushed ice
  4. Garnish with a pineapple slice, mint sprig, and burning cinnamon stick
  5. Feel free to experiment with different garnishes like an orange twist or lemon wheel paired with a cinnamon stick
