A cold, crushed-ice julep where bourbon and cognac meet muddled blackberries, raspberries and plenty of fresh mint. Lightly sweet and berry-bright.

- Press the blackberries and raspberries gently in the bottom of the glass.
- Add the mint sprigs, bourbon, cognac and simple syrup, then fill with crushed ice and stir quickly with a bar spoon so the ice moves through the drink.
- As the ice settles, pack in a fresh layer and stir the drink through once more.
- Keep building and stirring in rounds until the ice is level with the rim of the glass.
- Garnish with blackberries and a mint sprig.
