Sam Gabrielli created this drink at Russell House Tavern in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 2014, first with Nonino and later with Braulio when supply of Nonino ran short. Fred Yarm notes that Nonino gives a gentler drink, while Braulio makes it richer and more interesting with its alpine mint note.
