A stirred, bittersweet mix of Scotch, apple brandy, Cynar and dry sherry, with Peychaud's bitters and an apricot brandy rinse. Created by Frederic Yarm in Boston in 2019.

Frederic Yarm conceived the Machine Gun Etiquette in 2019 as a mix of Scotch and apple brandy, using Cynar as the link to both spirits and drawing on the Enjoy the Silence, One One Thousand and Remember the Alimony. Peychaud's bitters were added after a tasting showed they would improve the drink. The name refers to the song by The Damned, for its smoky tone or as a nod to avoiding alimony.

- Chill the mixture by stirring it over ice cubes.
- Then, pour the contents through a strainer into either a cocktail coupe or a double old fashioned glass that has been lightly coated with apricot liqueur.
- For added character, include an orange peel as a garnish, allowing some of the liqueur to remain inside the glass.
