- Mix sugar and water in equal quantities to make a basic sugar syrup.
- Slice a vanilla bean in half lengthwise, scrape the seeds into the syrup, and add the pod pieces too.
- Allow the mixture to infuse for several hours before using.
- Store in a bottle in the refrigerator.
- Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice to the shaker.
- Shake well until the drink is thoroughly chilled.
- Strain into a coupe glass.
- Garnish with lime.
