Instructions

  1. Put the mint sprigs in a highball glass and add the sugar cane syrup.
  2. Press the mint gently so it releases its aroma and blends into the syrup.
  3. Pack the glass about two-thirds full with crushed ice.
  4. Pour in the port wine and the Cherry Heering.
  5. Add more crushed ice to build a mound, then stir well until the glass is cold.
  6. Put in a straw.
  7. Finish with a few extra mint sprigs and some drunken cherries on top.
