- Coat the inside of the coupe with the absinthe, either with an atomizer or by swirling it around the glass.
- Put the dark rum, sweet vermouth, cinnamon syrup, caramel sugar syrup and orange bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until well chilled.
- Strain into the prepared coupe.
- Garnish with a star anise and a lemon zest twist.
