Instructions

  1. Crush the kumquats gently in the liqueur.
  2. Mix well until blended.
  3. Strain through a fine mesh into a julep cup filled with crushed ice.
  4. Top off with Champagne and additional ice if needed, then add a mint sprig that has been bruised to release its aroma.
  5. Provide a straw for drinking.
