Golden Finch was one of the weekly daiquiri variations the creator made during a year-long series in 2015 called "Daiquiri-palooza". It grew out of a nearly full bottle of Galliano on the back bar and Yellow Bird recipes found online, some of which swap the curaçao for pineapple juice and banana liqueur. The creator merged those flavors and set the proportions closer to a classic daiquiri than a tropical fruit punch.
