Geraldo Ferrer created the Czech 75 in 2024 as a variation on the French 75, inspired by Lucy Simon's Orange-Cinnamon Amaro Spritz in Food & Wine that November. The drink took its final form after Ferrer tried several other amari in place of Montenegro.
