Frederic Yarm created the Coley Cobbler in 2024 after reading about the Sherry Cobbler in Nicola Nice's book The Cocktail Parlor: How Women Brought the Cocktail Home. The drink recasts Ada Coleman's Hanky Panky as a Vermouth Cobbler, pairing sweet vermouth with Fernet, a combination Yarm had used in the Diddlin' Dora, and adding muddled orange wheels for balance. The name comes from Coleman's nickname at the Savoy bar.

- Then, combine all the remaining ingredients.
- Shake well with ice cubes.
- Strain into a Collins glass.
- Pack the glass with crushed ice.
- Insert a straw.
- Top off with two half-moon pieces of orange and a drizzle of juniper-forward gin over the surface.
