Frederic Yarm created Body Shop in 2023 at Casa Convite in Oaxaca, Mexico, as a twist on the Clown Car, using lime juice in place of lemon because the available ingredients were limited. Its ginger and passion fruit flavors recalled both a Ferrari and a Penicillin, and back home the recipe was remade with lemon juice and a smoky Scotch float. The name draws on car names and repair shops.
