Instructions

  1. Chill a rocks glass.
  2. Add the Scotch, sweet vermouth, Bénédictine, kirschwasser and Peychaud's bitters to a mixing glass filled with ice.
  3. Stir until the drink is well chilled.
  4. Strain into the cold rocks glass.
  5. Twist a piece of lemon zest over the drink, then discard it. Serve with a slice of shortbread.
