Rum stirred with dry sherry, banana liqueur and CioCiaro, finished with Angostura bitters and orange peel. Dry and nutty with ripe banana sweetness and a bitter edge, created by Frederic Yarm in Somerville, MA in 2023.

Frederic Yarm developed the Anchor-Faced in 2023, starting from the Blue Plate Special from Paper Plane and trying Ciociaro liqueur with banana. It began as a rum take on the .38 Special but turned out too intense, so cream sherry and allspice bitters were added to balance it. The name is slang for an overzealous Royal Navy volunteer.
