- Fill a shaker with ice.
- Add the white rum, orange juice, pineapple juice and lime juice.
- Shake until the shaker is cold and the drink is well mixed.
- Fill a highball glass with fresh ice and pour the drink over it.
- Hold a spoon against the inside of the glass and pour the grenadine slowly over its back, so it sinks and forms a layer at the bottom.
- Garnish with the orange peel and the maraschino cherry.
