The Xantès Cocktail appears in "L'Heure du Cocktail" from 1929. The book features an eclectic mix of recipes, many overly sweet concoctions that don't fare well as cocktails. However, it also includes unique regional ingredients not found elsewhere. One such ingredient is Majestic, a blend of Cointreau and cognac that has been reimagined in the form of Cointreau Noir.
