Instructions

  1. Combine lime juice and sugar syrup in your glass.
  2. Gently clap approximately 12 mint leaves between your palms to release their aroma, then transfer them to the glass.
  3. Using a muddler or similar blunt tool, lightly press the mint leaves—avoid crushing too hard, as excessive damage can introduce unpleasant bitter flavors.
  4. Add the Xanté and fill the glass just past the halfway mark with crushed ice.
  5. Stir well with a spoon until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  6. Top with soda water and fill the remainder of the glass with crushed ice.
  7. Add a straw and garnish with a fresh mint sprig (and a lime wedge if desired), positioning the mint near the straw so its aroma is present with each sip.
