- Combine lime juice and sugar syrup in your glass.
- Gently clap approximately 12 mint leaves between your palms to release their aroma, then transfer them to the glass.
- Using a muddler or similar blunt tool, lightly press the mint leaves—avoid crushing too hard, as excessive damage can introduce unpleasant bitter flavors.
- Add the Xanté and fill the glass just past the halfway mark with crushed ice.
- Stir well with a spoon until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Top with soda water and fill the remainder of the glass with crushed ice.
- Add a straw and garnish with a fresh mint sprig (and a lime wedge if desired), positioning the mint near the straw so its aroma is present with each sip.
