A stirred, spirit-forward drink of apple brandy and genever, softened with Cardamaro and rounded off by yellow Chartreuse and Bénédictine. Peychaud's bitters and a lemon twist add a light bite.

Frederic Yarm devised the Wooden Shoe after tasting a Genever-Cardamaro drink and reading on Haus Alpenz about a pairing of apple brandy and Cardamaro, and decided to merge the two ideas. The apple brandy version recalled the Widow's Kiss, with its Benedictine and Yellow Chartreuse. The name comes from the Dutch folklore story "The Legend of the Wooden Shoe", a fit for the Genever.
