Wisconsin County Road Double Y
🥄0
Stir Rye Whiskey, Gran Classico, Campari, Ramazzotti with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.
I began by experimenting with a Boulevardier, adding and subtracting ingredients until I found a balance that highlighted various flavors. Initially, I swapped out Campari for Gran Classico to let other tastes shine through. Then, I replaced the red vermouth with Ramazzotti and Cynar, enhancing the complexity of the drink. The result is an amaro-heavy concoction. The name "Wisconsin County Road Double Y" is a playful nod to Wisconsin's penchant for olive-studded cocktails and its winding county roads marked by double-letter designations like YY. It’s meant to evoke the feeling of cruising down a scenic, rural road in the state.
