Frederic Yarm devised Why Don't You Do Right in Boston in 2023, pairing the Cynar and coffee liqueur combination from the Palisades cocktail with the Cognac and pineapple rum base of the creator's earlier Big Spender. The name comes from the Peggy Lee song. Coffee and pineapple also meet in classics such as the Mr. Bali Hai and in modern drinks like Moe Isaza's Poderoso.
