Instructions

  1. Prepare a rocks glass by wetting it and rimming half the edge with chile piquin flakes.
  2. Combine 2 ounces Del Maguey Vida mezcal, 3 ounces fresh grapefruit juice, 1/2 ounce simple syrup, and 1/4 ounce lime juice in a shaker filled with ice.
  3. Shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Pour the mixture over fresh ice in the prepared glass.
  5. Top up with 2 ounces of cold club soda.
  6. Garnish with a cilantro sprig, a grapefruit wedge, and a jalapeño slice.
