Veracruz

0

A crisp, shaken tequila blanco sour with lime, a little sugar and cucumber. Dry white wine and Chareau aloe vera liqueur add a soft, green note, and Bittermens gives it a bitter finish. Created by Rafa García Febles in NYC in 2018.

Similar names: Heroica Veracruz, Veracruz Smash

Rafa García Febles built the Veracruz around white wines that are fairly aromatic, sharply acidic and herbal in character. The original recipe called for Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, but Loire Sauvignon Blanc, Franken Silvaner and unoaked or modern-style Verdejo have also worked well.
