Stir Rye Whiskey, Mezcal, Sloe Gin, Cynar with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.

Inspired by Phil Ward’s Lipspin and its unique blend of Cynar and sloe gin, I decided to experiment with a mix of rye and mezcal as the base spirit. Drawing inspiration from the Sazerac cocktail, this drink took shape while listening to Leonard Cohen’s “Various Positions” album, which also became its name.
