Vaquero

Stir Rye Whiskey, Mezcal, BéNéDictine, Suze with ice. Strain into a coupe.

While experimenting with gentian cocktails at Drink, I discovered that gentian liqueur complements both mezcal and Benedictine nicely. The 3:1 ratio of rye whiskey to mezcal has become a favorite over time, inspired by Death & Co.'s recipes. Combining these elements, I named the drink Vaquero, which means cowboy. For those who prefer drier cocktails, there's an additional note provided.
