At Loyal Nine's Yacht Rock Sunday in 2015, I pondered creating a variation of the Chrysanthemum by swapping out the dry vermouth for Madeira. To enhance this change, I added Maraschino liqueur, which pairs nicely with both Madeira and absinthe, giving it an Old Fashioned vibe from Jerry Thomas’s era. Rather than naming it after a flower like the Calla Lily, I picked "Undercover Angel" from the Yacht Rock Sunday playlist. Though it never appeared on the main menu, patrons requested it by name over a year later.
