Instructions

  1. Put a rocks glass in the freezer until frosted.
  2. Pour the Angostura bitters, cognac, absinthe, rye whiskey, Peychaud's bitters and simple syrup into a mixing glass with ice.
  3. Stir until very cold.
  4. Strain into the frozen glass, without ice.
  5. Squeeze a lemon zest twist over the drink, then discard it.
