Instructions

  1. Chill a cocktail glass.
  2. Add the apple juice, cognac, lemon juice, simple syrup, vodka and anise syrup to a shaker filled with ice.
  3. Shake hard until the shaker is cold.
  4. Strain through a fine strainer into the chilled glass.
  5. Float a star anise on top.
