Instructions

  1. Place 4 basil leaves and pineapple chunks in your shaker.
  2. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to pulverize them until you have a smooth paste.
  3. Load the shaker about halfway up with ice cubes.
  4. Add simple syrup, tequila, and lime juice.
  5. Agitate vigorously for around 15 seconds.
  6. Strain this mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
  7. Finish by pouring in a small amount of soda water on top and gently placing one final basil leaf to float on the surface.
