Tarzan Boy
🥄0
Stir Rhum Agricole, Dry Vermouth, Dry Vermouth, Campari with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.
In 2015, during Yacht Rock Sundays at Loyal Nine, I created a tropical take on the Negroni called the Tarzan Boy, inspired by our playlist. The concept began with passion fruit tempering Campari's bitterness and adding a tropical twist, an idea first introduced to me in Jamie Boudreau’s Novara. To enhance the tropical vibe, I used rhum agricole and white vermouths for their guava-like hue. This cocktail became so popular that it made its way onto the regular menu after Yacht Rock Sundays ended early that fall.
