- Fill a shaker with ice.
- Add the white rum, orange juice and pineapple juice.
- Shake hard until the shaker is properly cold.
- Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
- Pour the grenadine in slowly so it sinks and forms a coloured layer at the bottom.
- Garnish with the orange peel and the maraschino cherry.
