Strawberry Road was inspired by the Boulevardier recipe found in Brad Thomas Parsons's AMARO. It straddles the fence between being a variation and an entirely new creation, letting others decide which it is.

Instructions

  1. Quarter a strawberry and place it in the shaker.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker.
  3. Muddle the mixture.
  4. Shake vigorously until cold.
  5. Pour the contents through a strainer into a double old-fashioned glass filled with one big ice cube.
  6. Squeeze an orange peel over the drink's surface, then drop the peel inside the glass.
