Strawberry Road, from Mixed up in Nashville in 2024, takes its cue from the Boulevardier recipe in Brad Thomas Parsons's AMARO. It sits somewhere between a variation and a new drink, and the creator leaves it to others to decide which.

Instructions

  1. Quarter a strawberry and place it in the shaker.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker.
  3. Muddle the mixture.
  4. Shake vigorously until cold.
  5. Pour the contents through a strainer into a double old-fashioned glass filled with one big ice cube.
  6. Squeeze an orange peel over the drink's surface, then drop the peel inside the glass.
