Stirred rye with the nutty cherry sweetness of maraschino liqueur and two kinds of bitters, finished with a brandied cherry. Spicy, boozy and dry-edged.
egilmore found the Steadfast, a cocktail by Food Network's Ted Allen, on the blog "Crepes of Wrath". Judging the original bourbon version too sweet, egilmore switched to spicy rye and used less maraschino.
