Szusty made this Daiquiri variation at home in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2022. It rests on a homemade strawberry syrup meant to taste of freshly squeezed strawberries, with no added thickness or cooked flavor.

Combine all remaining ingredients in a shaker.
Agitate vigorously until thoroughly chilled.
Pour through a strainer into a frozen coupé or Nick & Nora glass.
Sprinkle with black pepper to garnish.
