Created by Frederic Yarm in Somerville, MA in 2022. Smoky mezcal stirred with Amaro Montenegro, Cardamaro and a little Fernet Branca, bitter and herbal, with Angostura and an orange twist.

Frederic Yarm devised Songs My Mother Taught Me in 2022 after trying a Cardamaro and Amaro Montenegro pairing at the Khartoum bar. A mezcal version, first called the M&M, gained depth from absinthe and bitters, and Fernet Branca went in the following day. The name is borrowed from Marlon Brando's autobiography.
