Shake Cognac, Triple Sec, Simple Syrup, Lime Juice with ice. Strain into a coupe.

I first encountered a variation of this drink during a cold winter night at Tracks bar inside Pitcher Inn in Warren, Vermont. Since there was no recipe available, we recreated it using proportions similar to its obvious inspiration, the Sidecar. The addition of maple syrup gives this cocktail a distinctly Vermont flavor.
