Shake Cognac, Orgeat, Triple Sec, Lemon Juice with ice. Strain into a coupe.
Inspired by the orgeat and curaçao in the Mai Tai, I decided to create a new drink. Thinking about Cognac as the base spirit, I recalled the 1862 orgeat and bitters from the Japanese Cocktail and the curaçao and lemon flavors of the Sidecar. For a name, I chose Saidoka, which is a Japanese term for a motorcycle part.
