Przewalski's Mule
🥃Shake Bison Grass Vodka, Becherovka, Kummel, Combier (Doppelt) Combier (Doppelt), Lime Juice with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.
I aimed to craft a unique mule using Polish Żubrówka vodka, and Przewalski's horse inspired me, named after Russian explorer Nikolay Przhevalsky. Born into a family of Polish nobility in Russia, he lends his name to this rare breed. The cocktail features Becherovka and Kummel, adding cinnamon and caraway flavors respectively, enhancing its Slavic character. Interestingly, Przewalski's horses can mate with domesticated horses despite their differing chromosome counts—66 for the Przewalski’s horse and 64 for the domestic variety. Their offspring resemble a Przewalski's horse, are fertile, and can be identified genetically. Whether they can breed with donkeys remains unknown, as donkeys have only 62 chromosomes.
