Piglet's Lament
🥄0
Stir Gin, Campari, Cynar, St-Germain with ice. Strain into a coupe.
I was experimenting with Negroni variations for an upcoming wedding at Loyal Nine. Inspired by Eeyore's Requiem, I wanted to incorporate other liqueurs but didn't want it as intense as Toby Maloney’s version where Campari dominates. So, I stuck with the classic equal parts ratio of gin, vermouth, and liqueur. For a name, staying true to the Winnie the Pooh theme, I chose "Piglet's Lament," reflecting Piglet's sentiment about bravery being tough when you're just a small animal.
