A simple rum punch of rum, lime juice and cinnamon syrup, tart and warmly spiced. Shaken and served in a highball glass; from 2021.

Papa's Rum Punch is built on a rare rum distilled in Key West, of which only sixteen bottles exist. The creator made the drink for Dave Hemmingway, winner of the 2016 Ernest Hemingway Look-Alike Contest, who shares a surname with the author but is not related to the author.

Instructions

  1. Combine everything in a shaker filled with crushed ice
  2. Shake vigorously for half a minute
  3. Serve directly into a tall glass without straining
  4. Decorate the drink with a used lime wedge and a fresh mint sprig
