Shake Aquavit, Carrot Juice, Lemon Juice, Orgeat with ice. Strain into a coupe.

I fell in love with tahini and decided to create a cocktail around it. To complement its flavor, I added caraway and rose water, drawing inspiration from Middle Eastern cuisine. Carrot juice and orgeat provided a savory base, while an egg white helped keep the tahini well mixed.

Instructions

  1. Dry shake together all ingredients except for the rose water.
  2. Add ice and shake again.
  3. Strain this mixture into a cold coupe glass.
  4. Finish by drawing an artistic pattern with Angostura bitters, sprinkling on sesame seeds, and drizzling in a bit of rose water as a garnish.
